What does it take to be successful? 5 Behaviours of successful people.

Before we dive into these top 10 behaviours of successful people, have you ever wondered what toes it takes? What are these people doing day today to be successful?

We had the same question all week, after a bit of research on the most influential and successful people we discover 10 behaviours.

Reduce the drama around you.

Drama is always somewhere in the environment, in the background. Drama has to be reduced to a minimum if you want to continue to evolve and flourish as a human being.

At times can be hard to be around drama people, this will drain you in time, will drain your energy, motivation and happiness. Eliminating the drama can be difficult especially if you are married to drama, or you have close family and friends that are a bit of a Drama queens.

Hey, don't get me wrong, drama people are not necessarily bad people, sometimes is fun to be around and they are even cheerful people when having their good energy. Some drama people are not even aware they are dramatic, however, you should keep your ' drama radar' on and try to avoid it and eliminate it along the way.

Do you think you are the best version of yourself when you waste time or waste your focus while you manage the incoming drama? Probably not.

Habit staking vs Goal Setting.

The second point we want to share with you is habit staking vs goal setting. We believe that is better to be a habit stacket than a goal setter. Experts show and suggest that progress is more incremental and gradual than setting a distant goal and trying to achieving. This is not against goal setting and the idea of having a goal in future in focusing on it is very good, however, when we are setting goals we become having an achieving mindset rather than a progress and process mindset as it is with habit stacking.

Taking small actions every day and stacking them on top of each other, over time tose incremental things that you do will lead you towards your big goal. Staking habits will become goals more healthily as you are more focused on the present and more aware of the process.

The disadvantage of goal setting is that we are not focused on the daily thing we should do and always live in future, that's the way new years resolution tend to fail fast as we go through the journey with up and downs we become discouraged and panicking as we are not where we supposed to be.

So the question that we all should ask ourselves when we set goals is: What should I do today and every single day to achieve my goals?'

Learn to say 'NO'

To keep on being more successful and flourish and live you need to learn to say 'NO' and I think is more important for the people that are wired to say yes and be people, pleasers. What we found, in life when you say yes but you meant no, is not neutral on your mental health. This will take its toll on you and once you start attending to the task at hand your whole being is against it and you rather be somewhere else.

Based on sociologist research, the first thing children learn to say it's NO, however it becomes more difficult to say it when we ageing, because 'no' because more social difficult and awkward to say as we believe people will have the perception of us that we are not helpful, we are not kind.

Also, please do not create a habit of saying 'yes' when you meant 'no' and then not follow through with your task and apologise at the last minute for not doing it, this will create another set of problems in your relationships and might be perceived as a not trustworthy person.

For more in-depth on this subject, we recommend you the book: 'The power of a Positive NO' by William Ury.

Give your soul what it craves and needs.

What brings you joy inside? whatever makes you happy do it more.

This is a key that most people miss as they live outside-in than another way around. The bigger the gap is created between our internal and external world the more frustration and unhappiness we accumulate.

Your task will be to find out what makes you happy, and what you do that gives you joy. This can range from hobbies to activities like socialising, reading, etc. Whatever makes you happy and can be anything, do it more often. While pursuing the outside life, goals, jobs, money, and relationship you should give yourself a bit of balance by doing what makes you happy.

Always play your A-game, no matter who sees it.

Whenever you do your 'craft' just bring your A-game doesn't matter if anyone sees it, remember it, reward you for it or acknowledged it. And now you might think, that if there is nobody to see it then I can do an average job and probably no one can tell the difference or you can get away with it.

Maybe you are right, probably no one can tell the difference if you prepare and give your best or just did an average 'performance'. However, there will always be a person who can tell the difference, that's you.

The mindset I try to imply here is that always bring your best game even the people you prepared for might not notice it, it matters to you if you noticed. Always prove to yourself you can do your best, and always compete with the best version of yourself. Do it for you.
